Valentine's Week

In my life this week…
Monday and Tuesday were normal.  Wednesday- Field Trip, Thursday- sick day, Friday- visiting family!!!  I missed out on my workout regime a bit, but I think it was necessary for me to have
In our homeschool this week…
Sebastian- K4
Sebastian had a light week this week.  Between field trip day, sick day, and visiting family day, we only had two normal days of school.  Luckily throughout the day we do fun things together (that are also educational).  This biggest is when Sebastian "teaches" Kaelyn during sensory bin time. I love watching the two of them play together.
Sebastian was using celery to stamp roses

His artwork was fantastic, and he had a great time.

Kaelyn- Tot School (17 months old)
I just started working with Kaelyn.  I made a Valentine's Day sensory bin and she has had a blast playing with/in it.
The kids playing with the sensory bin together.
Sebastian made Daddy riding on a skateboard using sensory bin parts.
I am inspired by…
My kids.  They get interested in things, and I use that to help them learn.  I love being able to steer them to learning and then they take the wheel and do it on their own.  Home schooling works!
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
We went to ZooAmerica on Wednesday (as well as Chocolate World and the Disney Store). We always have fun watching the animals.  We also learned what different  and animals like to snack on at the park (black bears like blueberries and grapes porcupines like sweet potatoes, just to name a few).  Sebastian was enjoying watching a snake climb a wall and a tortoise was eating some carrots, beans, and cabbage. His favorite animals are the wolves, but they were sleeping when we were there this week.

I’m cooking…
I am working on a recipe for buffalo marinated deviled eggs.  I am going to be doing a few batches.  Tonight I am going to whip up my first batch to try next week sometime.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
These seem to be so hot on Facebook right now.  Here is one I found.  Only disagreement: I don't let my kids play on the computer without my supervision.  What I really do would be sitting on the floor playing with my kids.  That's what I do ;)
