In my life this week…
It was another normal week. I can get used to this! I continued with my chore list and the kids continued to behave now that they have a schedule. It is nice to know what to expect every day. I will admit the last two days I have felt lazy and the house has suffered because of my laziness. Luckily my house didn't blow up, but it isn't as sparkly clean as it had been earlier in the week.In our homeschool this week…
We started phonics this week. Sebastian is ripping through my lessons. I plan for a two hour school day, but we get things done in 30-45 minutes. I think I am babying him too much. He is a smart kid and I need to challenge him more.
My favorite thing this week was…
We met up with a cute boy that is just two weeks older than Kaelyn. I had so much fun getting together with his mom. It was a beautiful day so we went to a park, and the kids had a blast. Kaelyn took a great nap for me, and Sebastian was worn out enough that he wasn't running around the house. It was a great day. What’s working/not working for us…
Sebastian loves the worksheets I have been making to work on phonics. He loves to use the stamps too. I think the best thing we did was play a running game to learn the phonics. I set up letters around the room and I would say a word. He would then run to the letter of the beginning sound of the word. He loved that game and I ran out of words before he got bored.Questions/thoughts I have…
How do I know if I am doing enough?
I’m cooking…
I want to try making a peach pie. I bought the peaches, now I need to find a recipe.
