Not a "Poor Me" Post

Just like the title says, this is not a "poor me" blog post.  I am not going to complain about the weather and what it may or may not have done to impact me negatively.

Instead I am going to be thankful.  I am thankful that God provided us with the means to put a new roof on our house this summer.  I am thankful that God is keeping our immediate and extended family safe.  I am thankful that God loves me and is helping me get through this stressful week with peace.  I am thankful for in-laws that are making their way to my house today to help us clean up by letting us borrow their wet/dry vac and a dehumidifier.  I am also thankful they will be taking my energetic four year with them for a few days so that Matt and I can focus more on the house. (Edit: Sebastian didn't want to leave me, so he is staying with us) I am thankful that Jesus came to this world to save us from our sins, and that no matter what happens to me, I always have a home in Him.

1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Dear God, please bless those that are struggling with this recent flooding.  Remind them that You will never leave them, even if they are grieving, homeless, or angry.  Comfort them with Your Love. Let Your light shine upon all so that we can all rebuild in you and in your name, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
