An Update on my Life

The past week or two have just been a whirlwind of events for me. It started with the ultrasound and finding out we are having a girl. Then I went to a homeschool convention and got fired up about the possibility of homeschooling Sebastian. This week I had an interview for a position which would be AMAZING. Now I get to look forward to a girls weekend in Lancaster with my college friends. Whew! I am exhausted from typing all that! It may not seem like a lot to some people, but I spend my days with Sebastian and even though he makes me exhausted, I know what to expect every day. I was out of my routine for the past week and a half and a half. Let's break this week down.

Ultrasound-
What an amazing piece of technology we have. It was beautiful to watch my little girl moving around on the screen. She was holding her hands up by her face the whole time (like she wasn't ready for her close up). I guess we got her before she put her make-up on. Sebastian was interested for the first 20 minutes, and then wanted to play. He did very well for a 2 year old at a sonogram. Now we know we are having a girl, but picking a name hasn't gotten any easier. With Sebastian we knew his name almost immediately. I wasn't even showing yet when we had name ideas! He would be Sebastian Thomas or Anastasia Marie. We are having a hard time coming up with a name for this little one. Anastasia Marie doesn't fit this baby, so we are backto square one. She'll have a name eventually... We have a few more months.

Homeschool Convention-
I have been doing massive amounts of research in the homeschool area. I am concerned about public schools for many reasons. I won't go into it in this post; I'll leave it for its own seperate post. The convention was great because of the talks. I did learn that Catholic curriculum sucks and I won't be using it. It is nice to have curriculum that helps teach your faith, but it shouldn't make the subject suffer because of it. I am still praying about homeschooling. God seems to have made it clear that I should homeschool, but I just am praying that I have the strength to do it.

Interview-
I think the interview went well. It is hard to tell. I have trouble reading people when I am nervous, so I am not sure if they liked my answers. The only thing that bothers me is that I didn't get across everything I wanted to get across. I didn't get to capitalize on my energy level or my passion for life. Those are my selling features and I didn't even get to express it! *sigh* We'll see. I am sure they will pick the best canidate for the job, I just hope that it is me. I am assuming this is a multiple step process, so I am hoping to get a phone call by next week. If I don't I assume that I was not picked to move on to the next round. I'm not worrying about it anymore. It will just mess with my stomach if I think about it too much.

Girls weekend-
I am so excited to have a girls weekend!! I am making peanut butter cookie dough brownies, puppy chow, maybe chocolate nut balls, and muffins (lemon blueberry and/or cherry bounce). Yummy! There is also an indoor pool, and I am so there (as long as I can find my maternity swim suit and that it doesn't fall off- I was much bigger with the last pregnancy) I think we are going back to our old college, and I plan on buying Sebastian and Gummybear something cute to wear. I am just looking forward to being an adult and as much as I love Sebastian, I am lookng forward to a weekend where I don't have to clean his butt.

And beyond-
Next weekend is ACC's at the beach. I am planning on playing in the sand with Sebastian and having as much fun on the boardwalk as possible. I am getting a lot of vacations this month!
Babymoon to Niagara Falls in June! Whoo-hoo!! I am looking forward to this too. I have never been to Niagara Falls, so I plan on taking a ton of pictures and eating tasty tasty food.

Ok. My post is done. I have to go peg doping, or peg juicing, or get my pegs lubricated. There is no way to say it that it doesn't sound wrong. (I am getting the pegs on my violin and viola lubricated so they don't stick)
