Christmas Photo Session

Trying to take a decent picture of the children is like trying to find water in the Serengeti. I love my kids and they goof off just like me, so I shouldn't get frustrated when trying to take pictures of them.  This year in the middle of photo sessions we had heads crash together which resulted in many tears. We also had a child get stuck in a tree but Daddy and his ladder came and saved the day. Memories!

Here are a few of the pictures that we took last week.

Happy Easter!

It is still the Easter season, so I am not late in wishing you all a wonderful Easter season.  After mass I made the two older kids pose for a couple pictures.  Miles had fallen asleep, so he didn't get in on the photo action.

“I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." ~John 11:25-26
We look forward to celebrating the rest of the Easter season, and enjoying my favorite feast day- Pentecost!  But, before then, my son will get his First Holy Communion.  We are all very excited.

A conversation with Kaelyn

Children are funny ducks.  This morning I had an argument with my oldest son about whether or not there were six or seven days of the week. I won when I showed him the calendar, but he is well versed in the art of arguing a dead point.

Then I had an interesting conversation with my daughter. It was priceless, so I had to share. Here is a typical conversation with my almost four-year-old daughter.

I have been putting a lot of thought into my posts over at Home & School Mosaics, so I promise to share the links with you as they come out.

Thanksgiving

My daughter and Mam-mam eating salt.  I had to put a stop to it, but it was cute.

My sister and her newest baby boy.

Sebastian is baby obsessed. He is SO excited for February when we welcome another baby in this house.

My second nephew. He is a model!

Cousin boys being cousin boys and falling off the see-saw.

We got almost all of them on it!

WW: Columbus Weekend

They were listening to their Daddy.

I love fall colors.

She posed for this picture herself. What a model!

This boy has my heart.
Unfortunately, I am dealing with a head and chest cold, but because I am pregnant I cannot take anything for the symptoms. I took yesterday and today off from teaching homeschool. I need to get better first. Hopefully tomorrow I will be mostly back to myself and we can start the week (yes, on a Thursday. Don't judge!)

In other news, we have rearranged the dining room so that we can do school in there instead of the office/music room. It was too crowded in there and Sebastian is much better behaved doing school on the kitchen table.

It is time for another (almost) Wordless Wednesday post!

We went to the Capitol this week as a civic duty.
Kaelyn likes the spotlight.
Sebastian loves all his stuffed animals.
My husband and his grandmother. Isn't he so cute?
Kaelyn has been getting up super early, so I have to someone entertain myself. This artwork is entitled, :Space on my Face"
