Last week the kids and I went on a field trip to the Turkey Hill Experience. It was a longer drive than I expected, but it was a pleasant stroll through Lancaster County (even if it was a long one). The Turkey Hill Experience was having a special homeschool day where they filled the area with activities, labs, information, and we had packets to fill out at the different activity spots.
What we liked:
- There were so many activities and labs to do!
- In the tasting lab we made our own flavors of ice cream by adding flavoring, mix-ins, and a squeeze of more flavor! At 10 am we each had a pint of ice cream to eat, and that included the baby!
- We learned so much about Turkey Hill and how ice cream is made!
Look ma, a huge cow! |
- It was crazy busy
- We didn't get to do everything that was in the packet.
- The drive was very long.
Will we do it again?
Yes! Just not on a homeschool day. It was SO BUSY!!
Side Note: Butter Pecan is the number 1 selling ice cream flavor of Turkey Hill's flavors. |
He *almost* ate the whole thing. |
