Immortality

No person is immortal, but some people leave behind a legacy that lasts forever. Not all are good. Some people's names we all know, whether for good or evil. Think about some names that have changed the world forever: Jesus, Washington, Hitler, Mother Teresa...

Not all of us will achieve immortality in the history books, but we all have purpose in life. We will affect other people and change their lives. We have the choice to either affect people for good or for bad. We can either nurture or destroy each other.

Let us build relationships with each other and build each other up. We should love each other and especially with kids, show each other how to love in return. "Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, as indeed you do." 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

"Above all, maintain an intense love for each other, since love covers a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8.   I fully believe that if there was more love- Godly love, in the world we would could lessen our sins and become a closer nation, a closer world of people. This is how I want to become immortal in the history books. I want this time that we are living now to be a pivotal point in history. Now is the time we looked away from hate and evil. This is the point we come together to build each other up and live in a new world full of endless possibilities.

What are you doing to make it into the history books?

In all honesty, the point is not to be immortal in history books, but to have our immortal soul go to the party in heaven.  But hey, if St. Teresa and Mother Teresa and St Joan of Arc can make it into the history books, maybe a simple mom like me can too. All I have to do is listen to God and do as He asks. So far I have listened to him when it came to homeschooling my children. What will he ask of me next?  I am not sure, but I will do my best to follow His lead in order to bring His love to the world. His gifts will prepare me to tackle all obstacles that will be put in front of me and make a difference- to my family, my friends, and the world. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" Galatians 5:22-23.

Dear God, I know you have plans for me, your small daughter. Please lead me to where You want me. Hold my hand so that I don't stray from your path. Help me to listen so that I can hear You when you speak to me. Let me be a conduit to show the world Your love, Your peace, and Your forgiveness. Thank You for choosing me and for taking care of me. May my life be a reflection of Christ's love so that my children can continue the journey of bringing Your light to the world. Amen.
