I used to hate working out. The thought of getting out of bed and sweating was more of a nightmare than something I looked forward to doing every day. Slowly that mentality has been changing and in the last month I have begun to form positive opinions on my workouts. I still don't have positive opinions on burpees. Burpees are tough!! I am very weak with push-ups as well, but there are a few moves I enjoy doing and I want to share those moves with you today! It's time for a little exercise-positivity.

Why I Don't Give Up |
Never, never, never give up. ~Winston ChurchillDo you know how easy it is to give up? I just want to not workout and eat pizza and cake and candy. I want all the carbs, all the sugar, and all the lazy TV watching without caring about what it is doing to my body. I don't want to work out. I don't want to make food at home. I don't want to prep and plan and everything that comes with it. But I won't give up. I can't. I have come too far to give up and now, and what would I be teaching my children?

Motivational Quotes |
Trying to be healthy is hard. It is a real struggle to workout every day and eat the right foods. I would love to drown myself in pizza and chocolate chip cookie dough ever single time stress makes me feel like life is overwhelming. But I cannot do that to myself. I like to compile motivational quotes to help me get through those tough moments when I want to give up. Here are some of my favorites.

Fluffy Waffles |
I made some delicious waffles this morning. I had adapted a few recipes into one, and this is what I came up with. Afterwards I realized I could have made the recipe better, and you'll see the change at the end of the post.![]() |
| Fluffy Waffles |
Tips
Do not over mix the batter or it will be not good eats.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup ground flax seed
3 eggs, separated
2 cups non-fat milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
In a bowl, combine the flours, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground flax seed. Combine the egg yolks, milk, and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter. Bake 1/2 cup of the waffle mix in a preheated waffle iron. MAKEOVER: Use Applesauce instead of oil and you can save yourself 50+ calories! I do this all the time when baking, so I think it would work well in the waffles. You could even add cinnamon and nutmeg to give it some extra flavor without the calories of syrup.
